Talk Shows are a big part of daytime TV. Many channels have talk shows involved in their schedules. They do gain a big audience but do they really help or are they just exploiting the people involved.
Due to the fact im a massive Jeremy Kyle fan i am going too be one of the very few too not slag him off. However many people have the believe that he exploits his guests and riducules them too much. I dont share this opinion. I believe that he is just very outspoken and not afraid to show his opinions. And most viewers of the show would most likely say that the best part of the programme is this. Many have critised the show saying it is all staged and the guests are fake. Also many former guests have came out to the media and critised the way they were treated.
Another show which i do believe exploits people is The Jerry Springer Show. This show has been running for many years and for a long time was one of the most watched talk shows. However since then it has been critised as being a pantomime and a circus. Having recently watched the show i would have too agree. Most of the guests i believe have been told too behave they way they do. This is very clear from the sound affects used when people start fighting and arguing. Also alot of the time the stories seem so unbelievable.
Overall talk shows do sometimes help the people but alot of the time they do exploit. However i do believe that personal matters like these should be kept personal and private and out of the public eye. But without these programmes viewing pleasure would be denied and for this reason Jeremy Kyle is AMAZING!!!!!!!! :) XXX
Definitely exploiting but briliant entertainment though. The Jeremy Kyle show (although I hate the guy)it is awesome but what annoys me is when he screams at them telling them to sort out their lives and get a job, 1st of all him exploiting these mutants gives him a job and getting a job now is very, very difficult but still amazing entertainment .... oh and Jerry Springer is a god
