Music festivals- good or bad?

Music festivals such as T In The Park, Glastonbury and Download are the biggest thing for music fans. It is the most anticipated event of the year for music fans. However music festivals like these have been critiscised in the past. Having been too T In The Park i would say that the positives outweigh the negatives. Most of the media tend too focus on the negative aspects of festivals like these and this means that people dont get a fair enough view.
Now im not saying that everything goes perfectly at these events because there have been cases of serious crime at these events. And many people focus on this negative angle. Having been a victim of a minor crime on the campsite. Where my tent was broken into and some valuables taken i can honestly say that yes it puts a dampener on the weekend but it doesnt ruin it completely. Even being caught up in a tussle between a group of 30+ men clearly under the influence of some sort of substance didnt disrupt my enjoyment of the weekend.
Because of the health and safety concerns at music festivals T In The Park is currently under threat. Upon hearing this news i am rather dissapointed. Even though there are negatives most fans who attend these festivals are there too see their favourite bands and have a good time with their friends. It also gives young people a chance too have a good experience. Alot of music fans go just for the music. To take this away from scottish music fans is a real shame especially since T In The Park has been held annually since 1994.
Whatever the decision it must be made fast as the event is too be launched today and the tickets go on sale this friday.
I hope it is decided for the event too go ahead. As i have been too the festival myself i wouldnt like the experience of a lifetime too be taken away from other people.

  1. good balanced caring comment, but you muight want to think about losing one of the 'o's you keep putting in 'to', as it is not too unless it is too much.
